Disco-tastic!

Hi everyone!
Well, the last dance has finished and the Lagganlia disco is over for another year. Everyone had a fantastic time and danced their hearts out to some top tunes!
The excitement started early in the day with the boys pep talking and plucking up courage to ask the girls to the disco. By 7.30 the boys and girls dazzled in their disco gear (one boy donned solely superman slippers and swim shorts - the only dry items left in his wardrobe!). Stephen and Sam were face to face in a dance-off to 'SOS by Rhianna' and Emily and Abbie stole the show strutting their stuff on the stage. Everyone joined in for the Macarana and Cha Cha Slide.
It was the Disco of Discos with DJ Waters on the tunes and Dance Diva Sellar leading a 95 strong Conga outside to the 90's classic 'The Locomotion'. The Boys closed the Disco in fantastic style with 'Amarillo'.
It was a perfect end to a perfect week. Sweet dreams P7's.

Looking forward to your return

Well we've got to Thursday and you all seem to have had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to your return tomorrow but not the dirty clothes! Remember to thank the staff at Lagganlia and the teachers with you for giving us a week of peace!
Safe journey home

Climbing at the Beach

Nancy's group went to the beach to climb on the rocks and guddle in the rock pools. The journey in the minibus was lots of fun. Reuben kept us entertained with his observations on life, the universe and everything.

When we arrived we adopted a friendly dog which Bec named Cliff who wanted us to endlessly throw things for him to catch. The waves and the views were spectacular and we all managed to climb up and belay down 2 routes, one of which was called Cornflake Wall. Haseeb, Reuben, Ali, Ayden and Declan were in one group with myself and Ben and Wenrong, Bec, Lin, Yujing and Sam were in the other with Nancy. We all had to climb up to a clip. There were some very good climbers, for example, Ali and Lin and some of us like Reuben and myself had to conquer our fears but felt great afterwards about doing so. Haseeb got stuck at one point and did some spectacular climbing to reach the top.

In the rockpools we saw some hermit crabs, anenomes, guppy fish and a baby sea urchin.

On the way back I was treated to a debate on who was going with who to the disco and some truly terrible jokes.

Looking forward to the disco tonight.

Thursday 12th October

Kirstie Burns, Lillie and Chrissie were top of the ropes course. Ryan, Wen Mo, Cammy and Iggy were stars. Charlotte, Molly and Lu Lu also supported each other really well on ropes course.

Rheo, Jack, Jenny and Duncan peppered the targets with arrows. Gemma did her best on the ski slope.

Marianne, Duncan Shaw, Abbey, Mena, Beth, Ruth, Scott Mia and Steven showed great speed to get to the top of a mountain with great views and there were no whingers!

Dove has been trying really hard all week and did really well on the bikes and Mark was very helpful and encouraging.

Ruaridh slid down the waterfall into a plunge pool, submerged and re-emerged grinning. Jay and Oliver were fab - they loved getting wet and had great listening skills.
